Shawn Behling is a plant physiologist and wildlife biologist for the state of Washington. She has worked in GIS for over 15 years and currently works on models for various species of wildlife to aid in population management and habitat delineation. 

She has taught GIS at undergraduate and graduate level courses for the University of Washington and Western Washington University, and continues to teach occasionally for various colleges. 

She is a rescue scuba diver and a mountain biker, and loves to bake unnecessarily complicated recipes.
